Jeanne Guyon died in 1717. Her autobiography appeared in 1720, in German! In the late 1800's the famous poet, T.C. Upham, using his own research and her autobiography, produced this biography of her life. This work gives a far, far greater context of her life than could her very personal and intimate autobiography.
The story does not end here. A well-known French author published a biography of Jeanne Guyon in the late 1970's, a work never translated into English.
