I love reading memoirs, and this is the best one I have read in years. Martin Short is sweet and very engaging--so funny and silly, then touching and laced with uncertainty, with tragedy too. I laughed and cried, and so will you. Short's comedic voice shines through on every page.
If you read only one memoir this year, make it this one. You will come away completely entertained.
***** Five stars, because there are only 5. It deserves more.

This is a fabulously funny page turner about the career of Martin Short with humorous personal memories of his family and many supportive celebrity friends. He explains how his comedic characters were created and expands on the highs and lows of his movie, stage and television career both in Canada and the U.S. Towards the end of the book, there is a deeply moving section about his wife's courageous struggle with cancer and its impact on him. Highly recommend this!
