Robert Slatzer did not know Marilyn personally, he only met her once during the filming of Niagara. The majority of this book is fabricated, especially his claims to have married Marilyn in a secret ceremony in Mexico only to have it annulled 5 days later. There is no documentation of this ANYWHERE. There is only ONE photo of Marilyn and Robert in existence and if he was one of her closest friends and confidants(he says he was one of the last people she spoke to before she died), as he claimed, wouldn't there have been many more? If you're looking for a true biography of Marilyn and want to know more about the real woman beneath the persona of Marilyn, look elsewhere. This is a great work of fiction, and nothing else.
