This is such a funny and well written book for any parent of two or more children. It completely captures life with kids. You will remember this family forever. Don't miss the chapter about Laurie's friend in kindergarten or the chapter where they all have colds and shift from bed to bed in the middle of the night. Hilarious! Sequel is "Raising Demons."

If you've ever seen the movie "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" with Doris Day, the movie was based on this book. A total hoot about life in the 50's with lots of laughs along the way.

I love Shirley Jackson and this book was fantastic. I had read a portion of one chapter as a short story and I am happy there was a whole book to go along with that story.
