I used this book for a women's bible study. It provoked a lot of interesting dialogue. The author is a little bit extreme at times, so take that into account before you read it. Good as an icebreaker during bible study.

This is a fabulous book for Christian women in today's society. Nancy brings us back to what scripture says and frees us from so many lies our culture drives into our hearts. I definitely recommend this book to anyone feeling blue or looking for godly wisdom about family and relationships.

Lies Women Believe is a wonderful book for a personal study or to use as a group study. I especially enjoyed the speculative journal entries of Eve to start each chapter. They are written in a way that I could truly imagine Eve possibly thinking. Each chapter delves into several lies women commonly believe, breaking them down and helping the reader to understand why this is a lie and exactly what the truth, as written in the Bible, is. There are scriptural references as well as a review notes and questions at the closing of each chapter. The thought provoking questions help you to apply what you have read to your own life and walk with God. I thought this book was a good women's study and enjoyed using it as part of a Bible study with close friends.

I thought the lies that were given in this book was the ones the author tried to feed to readers. To say it's a lie for some of the feminist movement is ridiculous. Some of the lies also are common sense, which makes me think the author is using the Bible and the precious word of God to manipulate it to her thoughts. As a young woman, I have every right to want the fulfill my longings (and not through a romance novel or cruise), to work to support myself, and not to stay in a marriage if I am abused (another "lie" was about divorce and the thought to never get one. Sometimes women get in abusive relationships and have to, so it's wrong to give advice to grin and bear it.)
God wants my prosperity, but not in the way this author describes.

I am in the midst of reading this book and it's a great book for women to read. The author states the lies that women often believe. I started reading, thinking....I don't believe lies...I did and it has really revolutionized my life and relationship with Christ.

This is a really good book for the most part. I don't agree with everything she says in here, but much of what she wrote is great truths that we all need to hear, digest, and apply to our lives.
This is an awesome book! I would recommend it to anyone. It can help with questions or problems that the world throws at a struggling Christian. Enjoy reading tremendously.

Nancy DeMoss doesn't pull any punches in going down through the common lies around us and that we believe. She uses a lot of Scripture to back up her stand and also personal stories to share. Part of getting free is getting rid of the baggage the lies in our life are to us.
DeMoss is very direct and writes as one convicted. She is clear about what is truth.
very good , also have work book that goes with this book never wrote in
Simply one of the most ridiculous books ever written, this pin-headed woman has absolutely no idea what she's writing about.
