Surprisingly good book: a mystery/drama/romance written in a style faintly reminiscent of Jane Eyre, but with strong female characters. The initial chapter is somewhat long-winded, but hang on! It gets better.
It was a great book to listen to. The plot was interesting and the characters engaging.
I don't usually read/listen to historical books, but this one caught my attention. I enjoyed it.
Really good story, I thought! The cover photo (yum) really doesn't give you the right impression of the story - it's really a mystery.
