She gets it! I laughed out loud and read passages to my husband. I am a very part-time worker (no high heels or silk blouses) and I still found her experiences and truths about motherhood relevant and right. I think most moms will appreciate this book however they define themselves.

This is a quick, light read, but there are moments of deeper insight in with the humor. "And so, much of my life as a wife and mother is about vacillating between wanting to do everything myself and being really, really mad that no one is helping me." Reading this feels like meeting your funniest friend for a cup of coffee.

I love reading van Ogtrop's writing every month in Real Simple magazine so I got this book. I enjoyed it. She's a witty writer and makes good points about trying to "have it all". After a while it got a bit repetitive but I read to the very end.
