Keillor is better on the radio or in short pices than he is in longer works like a novel. There are some gems here, but I grew tired of it by the time I finished.
A Lake Wobegone novel. It's Independence Day in Lake Wobegone, and Clint Bunsen is trying to pull off the town's biggest celebration ever, despite multiple complications including a July Fourth comittee in revolt, a disgruntled wife with a .38, and a naked Miss Liberty.
