This book does a great job of what is happening in your body and how the medicines given do their job. It is literally a handbook on childhood leukemia. It has been especially written so that it can be understood by children of all ages. Includes hand drawn illustrations of procedures undergone, the body, instrument used, etc... It is an invaluable resource for those in the midst of a leukemia diagnosis. I used this book with my son when his friend was diagnosed. It made a wonderful homeschool study unit.
