Conservative Democrat David Boren, former Senator and member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence during the first Gulf War and now the president of the University of Oklahoma, writes a letter to America to try to tell us to wake up and find some direction before we lose our status as a superpower.

It's a mere 110 pages, but really packed with thoughtful and engaging opinions regarding where our country is headed, and what he thinks we must do to remain a superpower. Boren is a good writer and uses his experiences both in politics and in academia to reinforce his opinions without being slanderous or insulting to those who may disagree with him.

IMO, definitely worth a read.
