Read this for the June 2011 "Summer" theme in my online book club, The Reading Cove. This is the story of three people meeting on McKinnon Island off the Carolina coast, while on summer vacation. They each have issues that bring them to the island, they meet, spend time bonding, and by the end of the summer, all is well.

It was OK. The island setting and cultural history was a nice touch. But it seemed a bit too trite and saccharine at times - the romantic scenes echoed 1980's Harlequin - but overall not a bad read. C+
