This lady knows how to write a funny, funny book, that has a wonderful cat, a bookmobile and great people who populate her series. Some of her remarks just put me on the floor and her relationship with Eddie reminds me of my relationship with my cat love, Sammo, who I lost in October of 13. He's waiting for me over the rainbow bridge. Who ever gets this book, please enjoy, it's great fun and a good cozy mystery. Looking forward to her next one and hope for many, many more.

I really like Minnie the MC and her rescued cat Eddie. Minnie is a librarian in the fictious city of Chilson, MI. She drives a bookmobile a few times a week to areas where their local libraries are closed. Eddie one day runs out of the bookmobile and finds a dead body by a farmhouse. After Minnie calls 911 to report the find, it sets off a trail of suspicions, inquiries and a look into the deceased's past life. I couldn't figure out the murderer until revealed during the last few pages. This to me was a "purr-fect" murder mystery and am looking forward to book 2

This is a first in a new series and to me it was a great start. I know some of the other ratings are that high but I gave it 5 stars. I started reading it and didn't want to put it down.

Minnie is a librarian and is going on the inaugural run with the new bookmobile. Her cat Eddie decides to stowaway and go with her. After their last stop, Eddie runs off and Minnie follows to get him back. That's when they come across the dead body.

I enjoyed Minnie's character and the small town feel. Wish I lived somewhere that you could basically walk to whatever you needed and know most everybody you came across. Eddie was a lot of fun too. The only negative I had about her was the continuing comments about her height and how short she was. There is a lot of room for both Minnie and Eddie to grow in coming books. I'm hoping that Eddie plays an even bigger part.

Looking forward to the next in the series when it comes out.

When I was a little girl, I dreamed of growing up to be the president.

This is the debut of the Bookmobile Cat Mystery series. Minerva "Minnie" Hamilton is the associate director of the Chilson Library in tourist town Chilson, Michigan. She acquires Eddie, a silver tabby, after a visit to the local cemetery. Minnie has been instrumental in getting a local citizen to donate a quarter of a million dollars for a bookmobile. Minnie's maiden trip does not go as expected. First Eddie stows away in her backpack. Then her volunteer for the trip cancels. Things really take a downturn when Minnie finds a body and it is revealed to be Stan Larabee, the bookmobile's benefactor.

I enjoyed meeting the townspeople of Chilson. They were well written and easy to get to know. There were plenty of suspects in this small town. It proves that there is only a few degrees of separation between people. The description of the bookmobile made it come to life. I enjoyed the interaction between Minnie and Rafe. Minnie's life with Eddie is presented in such a way that you know the author is a cat owner...or rather owned by cats.

I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

A nice little cozy with charming Eddie the cat and the person he lets live with him, Minnie the librarian. So how does Eddie like living on a houseboat and checking out books in the library's bookmobile? "Mrrr!" he says. And Minnie would agree except that Eddie better not find any more bodies.

Minnie has just acquired a bookmobile for her library, thanks to a large donation from the local rich guy. So it is very ironic that on the first day out in the bookmobile, she finds the donor dead. Well, her cat finds the body. The cat that followed her home a few days back and has adopted her. Since the library is listed in his will, the police think someone there is the murderer.
I did not guess the killer until almost the reveal, and the mystery was very good, with lots of possible suspects.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book, but as I am a big fan of cats and love books (and bookmobiles, although I haven't been on one since I was a kid), I thought it would make for some fun, light reading. Which it did, and also surprisingly compelling. I put it down for a few weeks and then picked it back up and read it through. My only reservation was the last two chapters took a dark turn which I found jarring, but on the whole, a fun read.
