Legends Lies and Cherished Myths of American History
Author: Richard Shenkman

This was an eye-opener. It takes most of our American heros and cuts them down to something real and relatable. I loved it and wish more history books were this interesting.

Really interesting book that lets us in on secret: a lot of the thing swe learned in history class are not true, like July 4th is not the "real" Independence Day, Nathan Hale's dying words were not "I regret that I only have one life to give for my country, and pilgrims didn't live in log cabins.

Quick, fun read!!!
