A good start to the series (prologue not withstanding), the writing is exceptional, but a little vague in parts. We're introduced to several of the other storylines & family members, but in a very unobtrusive way. The next book deals with Taylor, the sometimes diva-ish movie star from this book. Some nice funny moments intertwined with the seriousness of family trauma - and it struck a pleasant balance between the two.

LOVED IT!! I finished it in 1 sitting. The book started strong and never stopped. Ella is a strong female lead. I loved that in the end the hero is a hero and stands up for her. awe.... That plus a happy ending is what makes this the perfect "brain candy" book. A great beach or poolside read. It even hints at more of the family's stories. I can not wait to read them.
