The text is quite realistic about both good traits & what "you need to know" about the breeds. Between the great photos & information, this would make an excellent book to use with children as you begin considering the right breed of dog for your family & lifestyle.
If you have a purebred rescue it's also fun to see what they must've looked like as a puppy!

Lovely gift or Coffee table books.If you love dogs the color photography is exquisite and ir identifies the breeds. The photos and graphic layout of this book are exceptional! I was very impressed. I appreciate the thoroughness of the book too. It includes many varieties of dogs.
