I really liked Legacy. Anna is a recently turned vamp, who is struggling to maintain her human life. It's not always easy when other paranormal creatures invade her life. This is a pretty decent series.

Book Four of the Anna Strong Vampire Chronicles. Anna's got problems. She's trying to live as human a life as possible. The vampire community wants her to be a part of it. She's trying to be a part of her family's life, while keeping them in the dark regarding her changed nature. Her nemisis, and partner's girlfriend Gloria is arrested for murder, and wants Anna's help. But Gloria is hiding things. And, to top it off, there's a werewolf who claims that she is entitled to everything Anna inherited from her dead Sire. I love Anna Strong. She's just trying to find her way, and faces obstacles everwhere she turns. I found the story compelling, and finished it in less than a day.

Anna Strong is still coming to terms with being a vampire. Turned against her will, she wishes to live among humans, despite her new restrictions. Granted, she takes care of her blood-lust inconspicuously, but she still hasn't let her family know about her nightlife.
Anna is also a bounty hunter, but in this installation, she isn't hunting. Instead, her partner David's ex-girlfriend Gloria needs her help. Gloria is being framed for murder and she wants Anna to figure out who actually did the crime so she can be released.
Meanwhile, Anna's family suddenly inherits a wine chateau in France and wants to move their immediately. Anna isn't sure how to break the news to them that she won't be going with them. Anna is also meeting with a werewolf who wants the property that Anna's sire Avery left her. Even though she has no desire to keep the property, she can't stay away from the beautiful Sandra when she requests to meet. Something isn't right with the situation, and Anna will need all of her wits if she wants to remain in her current lifestyle.
After reading the first three books in this series, I was really looking forward to Legacy. Even though Anna is slowly evolving into a strong character, the plot was thin and weak in this installation. But that won't deter me from reading the next in the series! I love watching how Anna acts and reacts in her world.

When I finished the first one I was pretty sure Anna Strong would not keep my interest, but so not true. Each book so far is a little better than the one before it. The rest are on my WL, but I am at this point inclined to buy them new.
Anna starts off this book enraged at life in general, but by the end I think she might be coming to grips with her situation. We'll see if Stein continues that trend. I find it tiring when the protagonist is continually angry at everything, never takes advice, always gets herself into terrible situations because she won't listen to anyone. I did find the werewolf creation thing really odd; other than the exigencies of the plot, that seems pretty convoluted to me. I liked how the Gloria and David thing was resolved (or sort of not resolved, actually) - I didn't think Anna's condition for helping Gloria was going to stick. I bet Max shows up again too, that also was a big loose end.
