The themes of God's great love and forgiveness are beautifully woven throughout this western. Casey O'Hare must deal with feelings of guilt and unworthiness. It is only through understanding God's love that she is able to forgive herself for her past. Morgan Andrews also suffers with guilt, but hatred and revenge drive his every decision.

Both characters are made realistic in that they each continue to struggle almost daily to view their past through God's healing forgiveness. It is a great love story which proves that love does conquer all.

I wasn't sure I'd enjoy a book written from an outlaw's POV, but I really liked the story, and the interactions of Casey with the townspeople.

My first Diann Mills book. I am now hooked by this author! This is an awesome western as well as thrilling.

Great story of a female outlaw who turns her life around. Also deals with vengeance and coping with a terminal illness. Lots of action. If you like westerns then this is for you. This is the first in a series, but this one ends satisfactory as a stand alone. But I do plan to read the others, and hope to read more about these characters.

Great book! It has a very unusual heroine.....she's an outlaw! She wants to lead an honest life now but circumstances are against her. She is being hunted by the gang she left and the law.....talk about being between a rock and a hard place, that's it. She meets a nice caring man but she can't trust him because her only experience with men has been with men who are thiefs, rapists, and murderers. I enjoyed this book a lot. I am looking forward to the other two in the series...Lanterns and Lace and Lightning and Lace.
