The title of this book must be holding it back because I loved it. An interesting view of what it is like to be dropped into the United States and grow up here. To be cut off from your Mother and Father for so many years and to have to develop with the help of virtual strangers for much of the time Carlos and his brother take very different paths and they each have their own view of their new world. Carlos Eire tells a wonderful and frank story full of humor and just a true tale of growing up in the America I knew growing up. May you always have perfect snows Carlos.
