This is one of the best books I've read about the war years in Europe. Reading about how things were from a Jewish teenager's perspective was riveting. I literally could not put this book down once I picked it up - the writing is so real I felt like I was there with him every leap he took. What a story and what an impact. I can't stop thinking about it. I love you, Leo Bretholz and I'm sorry that America didn't immediately jump in to help your people.
