Commercial and public buildings are emphasized. See the outstanding shot of the Copacabana Ocean Front and Santos Dumont Airport, 1940 (pp.34-35). Also Mexico City's Paseo de la Reforma with light traffic on p. 42. Niemeyer's St. Francis Church in Pampulha (Brazil) is outstanding (pp.64-67), as is the Central Library at UNAM (pp.76-77) and Max Borges, Jr.'s Cabaret Tropicana in Havana (pp.108-109). The private residences featured are by Le Corbusier, Bonet, Williams, Costabal, Niemeyer, Mindun, Bernardes, Barragan, Artigas, etc. Reissued in 1972.
