Last words was a great story filled with suspense. I hate a mystery where you have no guesses as to who the culprit is and then there is a big revealing scene that doesn't really add up...I prefer a mystery where subtle clues are given to the killer, but nothing too revealing, and this book fit that description. The pace was fast, kept me turning the pages until I had it finished. I expected a little more romance since it is labeled romantic suspense, but the hinted undertones were intriguing. Great summer read, I can't wait to check out some of her other books.

I don't normally read suspense, but I couldn't put this one down. Good plot, very interesting characters--if you enjoy romantic suspense, this is a winner!

Love the way this author tells a story. No meaningless page-fillers, just the gruesome facts! I had an inkling about 1/2 way through the book who the serial killer was, but wasn't absolutely sure till the very end. Read it in a day!!

This is the second book of Stewart's trilogy about the Shields family...all FBI special agents. Mia Shields teams up with Police Chief Gabriel Beck to find a killer in a bayside community in Maryland. The developing romance between Shields and Beck does not take away from the story's mystery. The book is entertaining and a quick-read!
