An absolutely, beautifully written book. The words wind together poetically and I found it difficult to put down. The characters are so well developed, very witty and so sad. It takes place in the early 1900's India and is about a young couple entering into an arranged marriage. They fall deeply in love and suffer a tragedy, causing them to move with a carefree orphaned cousin to a strange house. I will be recommending this book to many!
