Anyone who has read CHARLIE MIKE by Lt. Col. Leonard B. Scott can appreciate the excitement of discovering a sequal. CHARLIE MIKE is one of the few books about Vietnam--any war, for that matter--that tells what it is like to be a member of an elite fighting unit through the eyes of the men involved. THE LAST RUN is just that. The surviving Rangers of CHARLIE MIKE, plus some new characters, are joined together for another mission....Scott tells the story in plain, readable English but with an ironic humor often heard in a career soldier's language.
