A home invasion on Christmas eve teaches the O'Boyle family just how important they are to each other. Not at all a "sweetness and light" novel but rather a gripping story filled with terror, a blizzard, cunning and quite evil villains, and exciting hour-by-hour tense drama. As the hours tick by, rescue seems remote and the family pulls together to save their collective lives. A satisfying audio book; well read. Recommended.

I really enjoyed listening to this book on CD. Although it was a crime story, it was fun following the Mom, who was insistant that her family was going to have a tradiitonal Christmas, with turkey, presents and Christmas Carols, dispite a home invasion and thugs joining them for Christmas dinner!
