I really liked this book. However, the main charecter, C.W. , is a walking nightmare from the 1970's. He drives cross country with a six-pack by his side, stopping at bars along the way. He'll take any drug that he can find, and sleep with anyone that will have him. No mention of STD's or using protection. Kind of a sad charector and I got angry with him more than once for his self-destructive behavior. Nevetheless, the story pulled me in and I finished it in less than two days. Beware, there is no happy ending here. Just a good story.

Hard-boiled PI novel...good stuff. Especially if you like part-time alcoholic main characters.
