This book was definately engrossing from the first chapter. It opens with an orphaned elf, the last of his kind, alone in the muddy, wet, depths of the dark age in the world. It continues as he meets and brings together a man and woman, and then follows the story of their daughter. The story gets much better as they follow the elf and the last orphaned dragon just like him, to free the world of the dark era. It's a great read and I reccomend it to most Young Adults.

Really good book. Well written and made me laugh! Easy read since this is a youth novel, but as an adult, I still enjoyed it!
