I want the last three days of my life back? Can I do that? On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the most likely would feed to the goats I give this a 10. 531 pages of mostly rubbish (keeping with British theme here in the book). Last Days had the potential for a kick ass scary story, but that sadly did not happen. I've had paper plates getting caught in the wind scare me more than this story did. The Guardian claimed that the author was Brittan's equivalent of Stephen King. I want to know by whose standards was this claim made...Please.
I hated the way the characters were written. I felt nothing for any of them because they were written so poorly. The whole bunch of them were so cliché or written so off the mark. Subtract 300 pages from this book and it would have possibly been something that may have gotten more than 1 star.(
