This book starts out slow, but DO NOT give up on it. Very good story.
This is a beautifully written story. It is not heavily plot driven, so not a great book for folks who need a fast-paced story that is clearly going somewhere. The story takes place in two time frames and is told from multiple perspectives. Lark and Termite are two children of the same mother. The prose is gorgeous.
I wasnt so sure I liked this book at first but it got better and better as I read and couldnt put it down at the end.

Read a bit, didn't love it. Very stream of consciousness, 3rd person description.

Very well written novel about a 17 yr old girl, Lark and her brother, Termite, living in West Virginia in the 50's. The author intertwines family secrets, dreams and ghosts, and is told from the angle of each of the characters.
