This is an excellent book for the young readers (and the not so young) who want more than the basic Little House books.In the Land of the Big Red Apple tells what happened to Laura and Almonzo, as well as little Rose, after the littlee House books.

I really recommend this book to girls from the ages of 6 to 12 years old. It was one of my favorite books when I was younger.

Rose is turning nine years old, and it's an exciting time on Rocky Ridge Farm. The Wilders have settled into their new home in the Ozarks, and Rose is helping as all their Mansfield neighbors bring in the harvest.
