wild former rock star looking for a quiet life is drawn to an old love who is seeking his dominant place in a relationship. Funny that there is a line in the book that says "You know, it's not like there's a 'Big Book of Bondage' out there to refer to." well, no doubt there is; but the dialogue in the book is so stilted and the discussions of establishing boundaries are so contrived, this book almost reads as a 'How to Negotiate Your Next Healthy Dominant/submissive Relationship.'

Was good. Really liked Erin & Todd were good. However adding Ben should have made it pretty hot, that part felt flat and forced. Probably won't read anymore by Lauren Dane

I thought the story was great until the introduction of Ben. Ben really didn't add anything to the story in my opinion and from that point on it seemed like it was just one sexcapade after another.

I really enjoyed this first book very much. I wouldn't say that the writing itself is phenomenal but it was an enjoyable story with entertaining characters. I literally read this book in a day, didn't want to put it down!
I really enjoyed this book. Can't wait to read the next one.
I could not get past the first 50 pages of this book. Just did nothing for me.
This is the best book I have read in a long time. Besides being super hot, the characters drew me in. I became emotionally involved and wanted more when the book was done. I read the other book in the series (about Brody, the title escapes me) so I felt like I already knew these characters a bit. I can't wait until November for the next in the series.
Wildly erotic and wonderful storyline. I was able to follow the action and get caught up in the book. A terrific read for anyone that loves the erotic and a good storyline.
I loved it, the story was great. You become so involved with the characters.
This started out as a nice, very spicy second chance love story. I liked Erin and found her to be relate-able and very open in regards to what she liked. I liked her brothers and appreciated how they were not overbearing assholes. I was less impressed with Todd and his inability to communicate his desires ('cause, ya know it's dirty!).
I knew there was going to be a 3rd party from the synopsis on the back of the book. While I liked Ben as a character, I didn't like him as the third party with Erin and Todd. I just didn't like this as much once he got involved. I did like that they were open about relationship with families.

get you engines started ladies! this one was great! lot's of steamy action. for the keeper bin.
It has been quite some time since I last read a book in this genre and I'm not sure what prompted me to acquire this book. But having done so, I have to say I was rather surprised to discover that at least 90% of the book's 322 pages consisted of a detailed play-by-play description of two or more persons engaged in some form of sexual interaction. No question it would be impossible for any red-blooded male or female not to, very quickly, get caught up in the "sexy, pulse-pounding adventure...that will leave you weak in the knees", as one Best-Selling romance author describes it. Yet I cannot, for the life of me, imagine how anyone could read this book in even just a few sittings. Clearly somewhere in Laid Bare is a plot, simple and straight forward though it may be. But I guess that really doesn't matter since the real point of such a tale as this can only be to get the reader off. And that it does.
A story within pornography.
