historical pirate romance
Loved this book.
I almost always enjoy Connie Mason's books and find the older ones are keepers as is this one,
This was a good, but-could-have-been-better one by Connie Mason -- I love most of her books. The Vixen had to be tough which meant Adam wasn't so hard-as-nails ... a bit flat compared to CMs other male characters in her classic romance style; ala Woodiwiss or Karen Robards historicals. Enticing romance with action and good sex scenes. Try "The Black Knight" or "Dragon Lord" to get an exciting one by this author.
From the cover: Possessed of an innocent, ehtereal beauty, Alexa Ashley knew nothing of the burning hatred Adam Foxworth felt for her family. Abducted by his men, held prisoner aboard a notorious privateering ship, she succumbed to Adam's masterful seduction - only to learn she had been nothing but a pawn in his game of revenge.
Driven by dispair, Alexa made a new name for herself as the bodly seductive mistress of a rival ship, and dared to challenge her lover at his own game ... Stroke by stroke, kiss by kiss, she would teach Adam just how sweet revenge could be!
