After reading the first book in this series, which was also my first Tracie Peterson book, I was hesitant to give her another try. This title made me much more willing to read more from Ms. Peterson. While I wouldn't necessarily read this again, it was a good and enjoyable story; a solid representation of Christian historical fiction. My only complaint was that the character Felicia's hatred of Catherine seemed a little over the top for the reasons given.

This is book two in the Ladies of Liberty series, but these three books completely stand alone. Read them in any order and you will love the characters no matter what.

It was quite shocking to me when I first decided to jump into this book that I read several negative reviews. They called the book preachy, flat and many other comments so that I was not really excited about the read. My goodness, I am almost certain those reviewers must have been reading a very different book indeed!

Another work of fiction from Tracie Peterson that brings you into the life of a very strong woman fighting for her will to continue having hope. Trust into circumstances that she never would have thought possible Catherine presents a firm character that is very realistic in her thoughts, words, and deeds.

This is a story that shows you how callous other humans can be and how damaging one's actions can affect another life when they try with an evil intent. Issues such as politics and countries facing war to social class and standing bring to life a world not much different from current day in many situations.

God works in mysterious ways and always on his timeline and not ours. The story of dear Catherine and even a dashing fellow named Carter Danby (reminds me of Mr. Darcy) can show a reader a light into patience and peace because even the worst of times can be formed into the best of times.

Wonderful book. Better than Lady of High Regard. Very heartfelt and a great read.

I enjoyed this book very much. I enjoyed the main story and also found the historical information about sewing houses interesting. I had not know about these before.

I enjoyed this story as I do with all of Tracie Peterson's books. The story is not a suspens in that you can figure out what is going to happen. It is a good read in the way the author tells it! I would recommend it!

This may be my favorite Tracie Peterson book. A Lady of Hidden Intent is the story of Catherine Newberry, whose beloved father is falsely accused and imprisoned in England. She is living in disguise in Philadelphia and has created a new life for herself as a seamstress. Her life is about to change when she meets Carter Danby and finds love and also a man to help free her father.

I read all 3 of these books in one week. I could not put them down, but I had too sense I work 55 hours a week. Loved every second of them and the story lines were different then you usually see.
