Great Love Story. This was the best book I have read in a while. At first I was turned off by the cover and the general impression it gives off, but I am so glad I took the time to read it.
A magnificent saga of aching desire and invincible will, a rich novel of the heart that fulfills the promise of lasting love and the birth of a bold family dynasty.
Connected to COWBOY AND THE LADY. When Lacy Jarrett and Cole Whitehall are unwittingly compromised into marriage, her dreams of a passionate forever are met with hard, cold resentment. For the boy whom she teased and flirted with not so long ago has been changed by the horrors of war
When delicately beautiful Lacy Jarrett arrived at the Spanish flats Ranch, she had eyes only for Coleman Whitehall, the big Texan cowboy whose dark handsome face and fierce gaze strayed his Comanche heritage. Their every exchange crackled with intensity. But even when convention forced them to marry, Lacy could not evade the obvious: Cole did not love her.
What Lacy didn't know was that Cole had kept a whole chapter of his life utterly secret. To tease out the truth, she would have to ignite the unspoken passion raging between them. Amid the earthy rhythms of ranch life and the heat of the sizzling Texas sun. Lacy fanned the flames of the raw sensuality that bound them to each other...until even the taciturn Cole could no longer deny the burning ecstacy that was theirs for the taking.

Ok read. Generally you either you like Diana Palmer's books or you don't. I would have to say this is a better read than most.
I really liked this book and felt that it was pretty different from her other books. There are multiple story lines, which I loved.
