I have not yet read the book, but ordered it as it listed Octavia Butler as an author. Unfortunately, she is not one of the writers of science fiction in this book, though she does give advice on writing in her essay entitled Furor Scribendi, which can also be found in her book of short stories, Bloodchild. The most recent version of that book also contains commentary on each of her writings which is neat. For this book #9, I will list the contents. Those with * were known science fiction writers at the time and have written how-to-write articles for this compilation.
