This is one of the Baby-Sitters Club's most poignant tales. Kristy struggles with a feeling of isolation in her new neighborhood, surrounded by prep-school snobs who tease her for her appearance. Grief and loss, in the end, lead towards a fresh start for the baby-sitter and her family.

This is definitely one of the saddest Baby-Sitters Club books. Ann M. Martin - in one of the early, not-ghostwritten books - handles Kristy's collie Louie's death with beautiful, heart-wrenching grace.
A must-have for Baby-Sitters club fans. One of the better Kristy books in the early part of the series!
Kristy's mom got married again last summer and now Kristy and her family live in a new neighborhood. The kids there aren't very friendly. In fact, they're...well, snobs.
