It is eerie to read this novel while puzzling over what could possibly make Donald Trump behave so weirdly with respect to Russia and Europe. The book's plot - by a former member of the CIA - makes clear the "long game" of the Russian security services and how they entrap foreigners while keeping everyone else guessing about what's really going on.
