I really love this series; can't wait to read the next installment. Good characters, interesting settings--a zoo AND a houseboat--and interesting mysteries. I guess if there are flaws it would be in the relationship that the main character has. It needs to be fleshed out more. But there is always next time. I would highly recommend this author and this series.
