From the back cover:

How do you teach children about kindness, honesty, respect, integrity, and all those other intangible values and virtues? Author and learning styles specialist Cynthia Tobias gives you creative ways to instill important life lessons in children - without sounding preachy.

This treasury of ideas shows parents how to reinforce positive values in their children. Using the simple question, "Do you know what I like about you?" the door to a child's heart can be opened to receive encouragement, affirmation, and guidance.

Parents will appreciate the simple practicality of the principles contained in this book, which the author has used with her own lively, redheaded twin boys. Positive behaviors are reinforced, pesky annoyances are weeded out before they grow into gigantic problems, and the genuine parental affirmation goes a long way toward keeping children from growing rebellious and uncooperative.

Great book if you are trying to raise your family in a Christian tradition. Covers all of the virtues and values you might want your kids to have. Heavy religious tones. As I am not christian. I prefer to get the info with out the religious overtones.
