I'm nearly finished with this one(but skipped ahead to find out the ending LOL!) it's a nice story. not so much a romance as a woman being dumped for a pregnant other woman who inherits a yarn shop from her mom she barely remembers and tries to make a go of the shop(she doesn't know how to knit!) and deal with finding out who her mom really was and why she abandoned her and also dealing with a 14 yr old that after once scene in the book I would've been arrested for child abuse for sure! can't believe that scene..actually 2 scenes with the daughter made me glad I don't have kids LOL! of course there's a man who shows up but the book doesn't focus on the sex. I like this one but I also like crochet (though this is knitting)and this kind of plot (where the person remembers bits and pieces and tries to put together what happened, etc) Ijust wish the mom hadn't died before they could reconcile...

Interesting story of a divorced mother finding her new life through her inheritance of a knitting shop from the mother she scarcely knew.

Enjoyed it.

A very enjoyable story. It is not about knitting so much as it's about family dynamics, and the ability or inability to communicate amongst family members (something everyone can relate to). Even includes a knitting pattern!

This was a good read. I enjoyed that while it was predictable at times, other things blew me away. I like that I laughed and teared up a bit while reading. I like that it showed imperfect people stepping up and doing well, as well as continuing to make mistakes. All in all, a good, quick read.

I love books where the characters knit because I'm a knitter. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. It's about a woman, whose life is turned upside down by divorce and the mother she never really knew died and left her a yarn shop. She packs up her daughter and moves to Ohio and decides to keep the shop. The only problem is she doesn't know how to knit. She meets people who knew her mom and they speak truth into her life. She also has to deal with a teenaged daughter and a new man in her life. I think you'll really enjoy her story. Connie Lane is a great author and I would like to read more of her books.
