A prequel, of sorts, to Almost Dead.....

If you like romance and mystery, then go get this book now. I have read everything Lisa Jackson has written and this is my favorite. When Marla wakes up in the hospital after a car accident,(or was it) she has to rely on the man that says he is her husband, although she does not remember him.Her memory has been wiped away, but she knows enough to know that something is wrong and that she is in danger for her life. She puts all her trust into her husbands renegade brother and together they set out to find out who is trying to kill her. Before you read the last few pages, you will have suspected everyone. If you have never read a book by Lisa, this is a good place to start.

This book is great! I just finished reading it and couldn't stop reading it once I started. It starts off fast and keeps the reader enthralled thru the whole book. You won't want to put it down!!! I had never read a lot by this author...maybe one book in the past but I am now hooked on her books! If you love a good mystery/thriller you really have to read this book! - And after you read this one she wrote a continuing sequel that is called "Almost Dead" which I got from a friend and will read that next. - GAIL L.

Lisa Jackson writes suspenseful family dramas and this book is no exception. Marla Cahill survives a horrible accident, but she ends up with amnesia and she is not sure who she is. She turns to her brother in law Nick to help her solve the mystery and figure out who is trying to kill her. Hard to put down and nicely woven plot that was hard to figure out until the end.

Marla Cahill survived a terrible accident that left her without any memories of her life before. No she slowly wakes up from a coma, learning she has a husband and two children she doesn't feel anything for. From the beginning she feels something is wrong with the people around her keeping secrets hidden from her. The situation doesn't get easier for her when Nick, her husband Alex's brother, is called to help with the huge company Alex owns.
She feels attracted to him, he despised her and what she once did to her.
But only he is on her site when everybody else is trying to keep her hidden in the Cahill's huge mansion as if they didn't want her to get her memories back.

Having read a few of Lisa Jackson's novels I found this book only average at the most. The tension once expected from the storyline doesn't really come out.
From things that didn't make sense in the end to things that were just obvious, the book including its ending is a disappointment for me.
Luckily and the reason why I read a mystery from the genre romance, Jackson kept the cheese in a low profile. Thank you for that.

Great story. Not sure if I really like this author's style. I'm going to try one more by her. The storyline is a good one, so if you are into this author, you will like this book.

Lisa Jackson is one of my favorite authors. This book was great. Marla Cahill survived a deadly accident but she can't remember anything about her life before. As she starts piecing together the truth of her identity she wonders if she's really Marla Cahill or someone else. Is someone trying to kill her or is it her imagination?

Marla Cahill has survived a terrible car accident, which has left her face severly scared and she has no memory of her life before the accident. She feels as if something is terribly wrong and she is not really who her family says she is. This book will keep you reading until the mystery is solved. I couldnt put it down.
