Another great book in the series. I love watching this character mature. Lots of good action and like how all the main women characters were very intelligent (Kitty, Hardin, and Mercedes). Also love the setting in CO. I was also surprised by the ending, but very happy. All I will say so I won't spoil anything.

Carrie Vaughn knocks another one out of the park with the fourth in her Kitty Norville series. Somehow Vaughn creates a very believable, girlie-girl (but not annoying) Kitty, while never shirking her responsibilities to our heroine's "wolf" side and it's darker demands. It's easy to empathize with Kitty's need to satisfy her human desire for normalcy (or what passes in our Society) and her animal desires. Kitty does the usually does the right thing, even after a struggle with her own survival instincts. And there's a nice romance on the side that is very realistic as two individuals who might not have been attracted to one another tenatively feel their way thru all the peaks and valleys of a newborn relationship complicated by their paranormal side. (And Kitty's attraction to his cousin!) Throw in a very believable secondary but not lesser sub-plot involving health issues for Kitty's mom, and this book rocks! Oh, and did I forget to mention the vampires and their struggle for supremecy over Denver....?

This is the fourth book in the Kitty Norville series and it is officially my favorite. The third book was my favorite until I read this one. This book had so much more character development and suspense than the last one did; I really zoomed right through it and enjoyed it.
Kitty is contacted by Rick (second in command to the city of Denver's master vamp). Rick thinks Arturo is loosing control of the city's vamps, he wants Kitty to side with him in a war against Arturo. Kitty doesn't want anything to do with it. Her new book just came out and is getting rave reviews, her radio show is doing awesome, and her and Ben have a pack all of their own.
Then the unthinkable happens and Kitty's mom comes down with breast cancer, now Kitty has to return to Denver. When she finds out that her old pack has sided with Arturo she wonders is she will be forced to takes sides and to confront her old pack alphas, Carl and Meg.
This book really cranked up the action a few notches, which I enjoyed a lot. It spent more time on vamp politics which were way more interesting that the werewolf pack politics dealt with up to this point. A lot of the characters were forced to face fears and develop in ways that were intriguing. I thought the pacing of the book was good, it pulled me right through the book. It was a fun and quick read. Overall my favorite in the series so far.
These books won't change your life, but they are fun reads and I am really looking forward to the next one.

Fourth in the series. Great book. Kitty is called home to Denver to see her mother, who is sick. The problem is that Kitty is exiled from Denver by her former pack. And the the local vampires are in the middle of a shake up, and one faction wants Kitty's help. So, Kitty is torn between meeting her obligations to her family, tending to her pack of 2, and doing the right thing.

This wasn't my favorite installment in this series, but it is a solid story that continues to fill in Kitty's world. I miss the interaction between Cormac and Kitty, but I'm starting to really like Ben as a werewolf and alpha.

The books started in Denver, and while the last couple of books did not take place there, it's Kitty's home. So it was with a sense of inevitability that in Kitty and the Silver Bullet, things come full circle and Kitty has to go back and face what she left behind.
It's pretty good when you think "OK, this is my favorite book of the series so far", then you read the next book and think - "OK, this one is my favorite book of the series so far!" There was a lot going on in this one, but in a good way. There was a good mix of interesting plot twists, action (lots of it!), character development, and intrigue, with a bit of relationship drama thrown in. In the end I was quite satisfied with this installment.

The forth book is better enjoyed if you read the first three before starting this one. Evil bad guys start creeping into Carrie Vaughn's story about Kitty and different kinds of magic we're not read about before. She finally has a steady guy, which is nice.
I like this series, and enjoy Kitty. She's a good mix of not being perfect, but trying to stand up for herself and for others that she perceives to be victims too. I miss Cormac though, and while I do like Ben I hope that Cormac returns soon to the series. Definitely a decent read for those that enjoy urban fantasy.

It started out slow but finished with a bang! I really enjoyed this one and I love this character and all the other characters. Can't wait to read the other ones!

Was interesting,never slowed down.
Great read. Even had bits of humor in it which I like. The pace was good kept me reading to see what whould happen next.
This series gets better and better! I really love Kitty coming into her own as a character and the story is great throughout.
