wasnt overly into this book. Everything went too fast. He's gone, she found him, they did this little thing and boom it was over. I got through the first two books but had to force myself. Not a series I'll be reading more of.

First of all, I just want to say that this is the second book in the series, picking up right where the first one left off, so it is highly suggested that this be read after VAMPIRE KISSES. Consider that your warning. Now that thats out of the way, on to the book!
Goth-girl Raven has just discovered that her boyfriend Alexander Sterling, new to the town of Dullsville, is an actual vampire. Unfortunately, the morning after this startling discovery, he disappears. Raven is devastated, but doesnt dare ask anyone for help for fear they will discover his secret.
She decides to take it into her own hands and sets off to look for clues to his whereabouts, determined to find him and convince him that she is perfectly fine with the fact that he is one of the undead. Her search leads her to the Mansion, where she finds a mysterious note in Alexanders bedroom that only says, Alexander, HE IS ON HIS WAY! She then takes a trip to nearby Hipsterville, home of hippies, Goths, starving artists, her aunt Libby, and hopefully Alexander.
Following a trail of clues, she visits the Coffin Club (a popular hangout for Goths), the Hipsterville Historical Society (who knew THAT would be helpful?), and a deserted mansion on the outskirts of town (thats hopefully not really deserted at all).
She also meets the mysterious and slightly creepy Jagger, who offers to help her with her search. But is he just a goth-obsessed teen like Raven, or is he the real thing? And why does he seem so interested in Alexander?
KISSING COFFINS is a fun, quick read for those looking for a vampire story without the blood and gore. However, the writing is often quite shallow, and the relationship between Raven and Alexander is never really fully developed enough for my taste. Im not saying I didnt enjoy the book, and Im definitely looking forward to the rest of the series, but if youre looking for a really great vampire story, Id recommend checking out Stephenie Meyers TWILIGHT or Vivian Vande Veldes COMPANIONS OF THE NIGHT.

My Rating: C+
This book really didn't leave a great impression on me. Some things that Raven would say just made me roll my eyes to myself. Even trying to put my mind into the mind of a 16 year old wasn't doing it for me. I did enjoy, as I did in the last book, how the characters do seem to grow through out the book, but the story itself just didn't do it for me. It seemed like the plot wasn't really on the fore front. It was just odd.
I do plan on giving the next one a try.
I really only recommend this book to those who've read the first one.

My daughter (you know, the one who HATES to read) is absolutely enthralled with this series. She is always talking now about how she would like to meet a boy like Alexander, without the fangs, of course.
Another great book in this serries! The last book leaves us wondering if Raven and Alexander will find each other again. This book starts where that one left off and is full of new characters and a new town. The ending of this book will leave you 'dying' to start book three - guaranteed!

My daughter LOVED it. She's 13 y/o. I liked it, but definitely her age group.
Awesome book!
Okay, I'm unashamedly into this teenage series. First book was wonderful (yikes, another series in order...what's going on with me???). Second book just as good. In this one, we see Raven grow into herself a little more. Okay, so there's the typical teenage attitude of knowing better than the adults in your life, but if you're going to pick it to pieces, the main characters show just as many positive characteristics as negative. Well balanced all in all. If you haven't already done so, add this series to your wish list if only for some light reading. I think you'll still enjoy it a great deal.
This book was funny, loved how it could draw you in to the first love she had.
good 2nd book to series..answered alot of unknowns
I enjoyed it very much . However it really wasnt geared toward adults .With that in mind it was a very quick read .I would recommend it for very young teens .
I like these books. They keep you guessing & are fun to read.

Raven in search to find her true love. Alexander disappeared after his party and it's driving her crazy. She found a clue that he maybe in hipsters own where her father sister lives. Raven went over to her aunt house and begin to search. She went into coffin club and asked around. She met a teen named Jagger also a vampire. He freak her out and her return home. She found herself in trouble with Jagger and Alexander showed up. Alex told Raven about Jagger and also he a twin.
I really enjoy this book. Yet again funny, easy read, entertainment.

Book 2 of the Vampire Kisses series - Raven's boyfriend Alexander, the vampire boy next door has mysteriously left town without explanation. Raven is distraught but soon decides to search for him in the nearby hip town of what she calls "Hipsterville". But Alexander had his reasons for leaving, and Raven's search may put herself in possible danger. She meets mysterious Jagger, who has compelling eyes and who seems very interested in finding Alexander as well. This was a quick read, but rather thin on substance. For example, I found Raven not very introspective for someone who is supposed to be the town outcast. The twists in this book were very obvious. I think I got sucked in by the cliffhanger at the end of book 1, and the author tries the same tactics at the end of book 2 (and practically at the end of every chapter). This time I'm not going to continue with the series.

This second book in the series of Vampire Kisses gets a 5 stars from me. I absolutely am in love with all of the characters in this series. I can not get enough of the books, I cant read fast enough, trying to take it all in. I cant wait to see where it goes with our Goth, Raven and her precious vamp Alexander. Will she become a Vampire as well, this is the question. I have never been in love with a fictional character before until now, ohhh Alexander Sterling, every Goths dream. On to book 3.
