This is the first Cherry Adair book I have read and I loved it. I couldn't put it down as I was anxious to find out who or what group was after Jake and why they had turned against him. The two characters were great and the relationship with the dog was wonderful.

I plan on reading this entire series.

First book I read of Cherry Adair. I usually only read paranormal romance but I did like this book. I really like how this author did not rush the end of the story and let us know how the characters lived "happily ever after". I will read more books in this T-FLAC series. This author has a very very good website you can see the pictures of different senery told in each book.

With the recent death of her beloved grandmother, illustrator Marnie Wright needs some alone time to reassess her life. Over the objection of her father and four older brothers, Marnie accompanied by her Great Dane Duchess travels to her grandmother\'s cabin in the Sierra Mountains. However, her idyll time is interrupted when she meets Soldier of Fortune magazine pinup Jake Dolan, who wants nothing to do with his temporary neighbor.

However, everything changes when a storm destroys her cabin, but before she can settle in his place, hit men arrive planning to kill Jake. As he wonders how they are connected to his recent Mideast fiasco that has his job and reputation in jeopardy, Jake hides his guest in his secure underground bunker. Although he mistrusts her after a previous woman betrayed him, Jake and Marnie begin to fall in love even as he goes about dispatching the enemy.

Jake and Marnie...

Another hit for the T-FLAC series and the Wright family. I LOVE Marnie in this book! Jake isn't so bad himself with all his techno stuff in that hidden "love cave". Lock me in there with him anytime.

This was my first read from Ms Adair and it got me hooked. Adair really knows how to keep the reader interested and make the chemistry between the main characters hot. And I can say that I wish I had a dwelling like Jake's!

Excellent. Enjoyed this very much. Jake spies a woman on his mountain retreat, and demands that she get off his property. Marnie is startled to find that someone is living in the dilapidated shack she was drawing, and retreats to her grandmother's cabin down the mountain. But, when ahuge tree falls through her cabin the next morning, Jake comes to rescue her, and keeps her....

The first of Adair's Wright sibling series. Marnie Wright takes a weekend retreat at her grandmother's cabin. She is there to figure out how to get out of the rut her life has become. Jake Dolan is trying to figure out who betrayed him. The two meet and the adventure begins. Good read, a bit confusing but comes together in the end. Recommended.

The last thing jake wants in his dangerous life is a woman. Doesn't like them. But a man would have to be dead not to fall for the sexy as sin Marnie Wright. But how could he have feelings for someone who may be killed just for being close to him?

I'm not finished reading this yet, and I'm sure it will get better because it got such great reviews, but I just had to start this review while my memory is still fresh on it. Its so annoying I can't stand it!! I'm on page 152, halfway through and I can't stand the way the author wrote these characters, especially since they had such good potential! Marnie is strong yet vulnerable and Jake is a rugged sexy man who's got his guard up after being betrayed. However, Marnie has spent the entire book up until now throwing herself at Jake making her look and sounds desperate. Had it been written better she would have been endearing. I also can't get over the wording the author is using. Marnie talks about her"boobs" and Jake references his"penis" when the scene and situation totally should have been breasts and cock. It sounds weird but if you had read it you'd understand. And pretty soon I'm going to start counting how many times Jake says "Judas!". Im going to update my review when I finish the book but like I said, I think it will have a great ending and it needs to be said that this book had the potential to be fantastic from start to finish.
