I liked this better than the 1st one. There was more info about the Pyr & Slayer factions. Sophie the Wyervn also had a more prominent role in this book. Donovan & Alex try to fight the firestorm but in the end it wins out. They are 2 strong characters. My only complaint is that it started to drag a bit so I ended up skipping through some pages. But I do recommend this & I can't wait to see what happens next in the series.

Eve better than the 1st in the series, Kiss of Fury is Donovan and Alex's story, one you won't want to miss. Blazing hot!
LOVED THIS BOOK!!!! I read book 1 a while ago and it took me a bit to get back into the swing of the story. I am know on to book 3 and can not wait to read them all. If you like some dragons with your romance this is worth reading.
The second in this series and it is just as good. I love the lore and the twists of this series. But I love the dragons! I could not put it down!
The second fated firestorm... Good read, introduced an interesting new character, Nicholas, 'grown' from a dragon tooth ala the Greek myth. Interesting incorporation to the plot.

Good series, I have read it twice and would recommend it.
It's Donovan Shea's turn at a life mate but he wants no part of it. He was burned in the past by a woman with no lover or loyalty to him or anyone else for that matter. Enter sexy scientist Alex Madison, the inventor of the green car. Donovan's job as a Pyr is to protect her long enough to get her car to production in an effort to save the world from itself. Of course, the Slayers are after her and her invention since their game plan is to destroy life not save it.
I love this series so much that I can't imagine why it's taken me two years to pick up book number two. I can promise you, it won't take me 2 years to get to number three. I will admit to reading this book slowly so I could savor every detail of the romance which was sweet and slow since they both were fighting it. I really enjoyed the details of the firestorm (mate bond) and the resulting passion between Donovan and Alex. They tried hard to fight it but destiny waits for no one.
These dragons are all drool-worthy hunks with loyalty and morals but those slayers really need their asses kicked! It's a great division of good versus evil and how evil will eventually rot your soul and destroy the world. Oh and I liked the "green" concept car and wonder when we'll actually have them on the street. It's not as far-fetched as it seems.

The Slayers discover that Donovan's destined mate Alex is working on a prototype of a car that doesn't run on gas but salt water so they destroy her lab and kill her partner. They let her go so they can follow her to make sure they got all of her work. The book is full of twists and turns and has some laugh out loud moments as Alex and Donovan work together to hold off the Slayers. I love the chemistry between Alex and Donovan and how she keeps him guessing what she will do next. We get to learn more about the history of some of the dragons in this story and see them all interact to protect Alex and her work. This book is definately worth a read, especially if you like dragons or shape shifting genre.
Loved this book. It was fast paced action and a really sweet love story combined. The author has created an interesting world that when you're reading can become real to you. Didn't want to put the book down til it was done. Can't wait to read more of this series.
