Helpful Score: 1
Good read although I was unhappy at some of the characters that made the 'noble sacrifice'. [That's my personal hangup - I want all the ones I like to survive!:] Erik and Eileen's firestorm [and tragic history:] are happily resolved and there is hope [and change:] on the horizon.
Dragonfire Series to date [more are coming:]:
1 Kiss of Fire: A Dragonfyre Novel
2 Kiss of Fury
3 Kiss of Fate

Can not wait to read the next one!!!
Good series, I have read it twice and would recommend it.
This series just gets better and better. Bad guy Magnus is back and so is Boris - both on the wrong team - the Slayers. Mythologist Eileen Grosvenor enters the story with a satchel of dragon's teeth and both Magnus and Boris on her tail. Pyr leader Erik Sorensson is in search of his firestorm (mate) when he stumbles upon Eileen and rescues her and sets in motion a prophesy of death and danger.
I love all the supporting characters (the good guys of course) and can't wait to read their stories. So far, each book has been unique with characters with interesting backgrounds (all different) and each time the Slayers bring something new and different to the fight keeping the Pyr on their toes. It's an exciting good vs evil scenario with hawt vulnerable guys and complimentary kick-ass females.

This book has everything; action, suspence, romance, and people overcoming hardships. Has great pace and a very good read. Deborah Cooke is a great author and this is a fantastic series.
Erik was so intent on hooking up his fellow pyr with their firestorms that it was fun to read about him getting his own firestorm. The book started off with action and it continued til the end. Loved the interaction between Erik and the practical Eileen. He fought the knowledge that was in front of him and was determined not to repeat past mistakes. It was heartbreaking to see him deal with his son, but I was happy with the way the son's character redeemed himself at the end by helping his parents survive. Looking forward to the next story.
Fantastic! Desert Island Keeper!
