I loved the beginning where she talked about how she writes. Although I'm not usually a fan of short stories, she made me see how challenging writing a mystery as a short story can be!

Loved the Kinsey stories, which began in 1986 over a five year period. I had no idea these stories even existed, and they were all enjoyable reading, like connecting with an old friend.

The Kit Blue stories were depressing, and I was happy to finish them as a person who prefers to look for the light, rather than the dark.

Kinsey and Me is a collection of short stories, with some ruminations by Sue Grafton about why she writes about a "hard-boiled private eye" and about what constitutes a good detective story. Watching Kinsey Millhone solving a case in short story format is a treat. You see Kinsey's character, wit, and resourcefulness in a condensed form. Each story has a satisfying ending, some with a twist.

The last 1/4 of Kinsey and Me is a collection of autobiographical short stories Sue Grafton wrote to come to grips with the loss of her mother. They are sad, soul-searching, and ultimately sweet and uplifting.

This book is full of short stories featuring Kinsey Millhone. In addition, the reader will be introduced to how this series came into print through Sue Grafton. A nice, quick read that will hold you over while waiting for the next Kinsey Millhone book.

I don't usually enjoy short stories but I did like this book. I am familiar with the character and I especially enjoyed the introduction where Grafton tells about her writing style, etc.
