Edge of the seat, couldn't put down! Lieutenant Eve Dallas never disappoints me. Such a great mystery plus the wonderful romance of a happily married although not in any way ordinary couple. I want a fabulously wealthy husband who drops everything to be by MY side. LOL

I have been reading this series from the beginning, and I think the one is the one I've enjoyed the most. Satisfying plot line and conclusion. Left me wanting the story to be longer.

What appears to start out as a random brutal crime quickly turns into a web of revenge and horror as a brutal killer is systematically killing the loved ones of people he blames for ruining his life. With the impending nuptials of Louise and Charles and Eves near panic at the thought of her matron of honor duties, she has very little time to find the killer but our Eve would much rather get bloody and chase down a killer than be subjected to the rituals of marriage and being within 100 miles of Trina and her devices of female torture.

As always, I loved this book and cant get enough of Eve, Roark and the gang. However, I was expecting a more intense takedown of the subject. As usual, it played out flawlessly, but with the level of brutality the killer demonstrates, I expected him to go down fighting. Perhaps the author didnt want her beaten and bloodied right before the wedding. Even so, Eve does get her hands dirty a few times and takes a few hits for the team. Not enough snark with Summerset this go around, but these two pace themselves beautifully and dont disappoint when they do take the gloves off. I love how Peabody is developing as a character. Shes really coming into her own as a detective and with Eves mentoring, she will be a force to be reckoned with. What can I say about Roark that hasnt been said a million times already? As Peabody and Mavis would say, hes mag. I always enjoy seeing him getting to use his computer geek skills working with Feeney and McNab to assist Eve.

With 29 books in the series and no indication of slowing down, I am excited to see what Eve and the gang gets into next.

As usual Eve Dallas solves the crime. The story is exciting and keeps you thinking. I love pitting my investigative powers against Lt. Dallas. A very enjoyable read.

Even though it is her day off, Lt. Eve Dallas is requested by her Captain to investigate a murder. NYPSD Captain Jonah MacMasters and his wife returned home early from a trip to find their sixteen-year-old daughter Deana dead on her bed. She had been brutally beaten and raped before being killed. Even can't imagine who would want to kill a sweet high school girl with no enemies. There is no physical evidence pointing to the murderer. Even and her team must talk to Deana's friends and hit the streets in order to solve this crime.

This was a tough mystery for everyone. Deana's best friend tells Eve that she was secretly seeing a guy she met in Central Park. Interviewing people jogging in the park leads to a description of the guy. The case against the killer was built from the ground up, with the whole team pitching in to help. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

Another solid Eve Dallas story! Like most of the others, Kindred had me laughing at parts and completely enthralled in the story. But this one also had me tearing up. It's possible that Kindred may have been the most emotional one of the series for me. I can't wait to see what is coming next!
