This book offered a great YA thriller/mystery journey. There are two perspectives to read from, going back and forth evenly throughout the book. Usually I find this annoying, but the writing for each character was appropriate and contained distinctly different voices. The author leaves you on a cliffhanger with every switch of perspectives, making you want to read more to get back to that character's part in the story -but by then you're caught up in the other one and have to keep going again... and again... and again. The only thing keeping this from being a five-star review is the lengthy transition from the middle to the climax. I get that suspense needs some time to build as the characters work through the clues, getting closer to the answer BUT the length spent on this began to drag, eliminating some of the suspense. Note, if you are looking to suggest books to teens or younger, there is some language and light discussion of sex.
