I really enjoyed this book. Rebecca York took pains to write a well researched romance book; which is unusual. It also combines two of my favorite elements: weres and serial killers.

IN THE WOODS,A KILLER WAITS,SURROUNDED BY THE GRAVES OF HIS VICTIMS,ANTICIPATING HIS NEXT KILL. IN THE WOODS,A WOLF STALKS ITS PREY,SURRENDERING ONLY TO THE LAWS OF NATURE,NOT OF MAN. THIS IS ANOTHER GREAT WEREWOLF STORY BY REBECCA YORK. I HAVE READ SEVERAL ALREADY AND THIS ONE WAS JUST AS GOOD.

Page turner! I read it in 1 day, I couldnt put it down!
Ross Marshall is a Private Investigator with the instincts of a blood hound, his abilities are beyond the norm. As Ross is tracking a serial killer, and nearly dies for he gets too close. The trail brings him to Megan Sheridan, a scientist into genetic research. She is drawn to the sexy sleuth, with no idea of his "special" talents stem from him being a werewolf - or that werewolves like wolves mate for life (hey didn't she read Susan Kinnard's books? lol). They must fight their inner worries, their fears and stop a serial killer

This was my first read of this particular author so I'm not sure if her other works are similar to this one. The book itself was good, but somewhat predictible. I have been reading this particular genre for some time,so this was a bit on the tame side in my opinion. I would suggest it as a good read for those just beginning to read this genre.

For me this was just OK. I don't agree with other reviews that it was a "can't put down" kind of book. Neither of the main characters ever became important to me. C+ at best.
This is definitely a quick and intriguing read. The author brings a new perspective on werewolves and how they shift, it's a rather unique way of portraying the shift from human to wolf. I really enjoyed the fact she used Celtic language in different parts it made the fantasy aspect of the novel more alive. The mystery that leads the romance leaves a well woven plot from beginning to end. Recommended for all paranormal romance readers.
I liked this book but just not enough. It just didn't light any fires under me. I may try the next one in line one of these days as it was boarderline in hopes the second one is better.
I really liked this book and am looking forward to reading the others in this series. When I started reading it was a book you could conect with and enjoy. Some books are not like that. Well written now I am ready for the next 1.
This was written so badly, I who do not normally do reviews, am compelled to comment. I chose this book because I thought it must be good since it had so many books in the series. Boy, was I wrong. This book was so unpredictable, not because it was so well written, but because it was so badly written. The actions of the characters was a desperate try to make the story come together. For instance, when the "heroine" was upset, she "unconsciously" goes to the place where the "hero" told her the "antagonist" works and so of course, she is seen, followed and ultimately kidnapped by the bad guy. It was scenarios like this in the book that made the writing so desperate and so disappointing. If the rest of the series is like this, I do no know how it got past book 1 and I definitely would not recommend it.
I became much more interested in this book than I thought I would. The characters are well defined and likeable. The plot moved at a good pace with some meandering away from the main plot without taking away interest from it, and everything fit together in the end. There were many times I didn't to put it down to go back to work after a break.
I have read all of Rebecca York series so far. Her series is awesome. I enjoyed every book so much, that I ran to the store to buy the rest of the series. Can't wait for the next one to come out.
In the woods,a killer waits, surrounded by the graves of his victims, anticipating his next kill. In the woods, a wolf stalks its prey, surrendering only to the laws of nature not man.
A good were series.
This was a pretty good book, I don't like that Ross was at odds with his wolf, I enjoy the stories more when the two are happy ( wolf and man ) or at least by the end of the book they are even if its a stuggle though out the pages, by the end, I didn't feel like Ross liked being who he was... to bad!!!!
Ross Marshall is a PI with a secret, he is also a werewolf. Dr. Megan Sheridan works for Bio Gen Labs and has been assigned Ross Marshall's case for testing. Unable to reach him by phone she decides to go to his home to collect the blood samples she needs for testing. When she arrives she finds him on the floor, semi conscious with a high fever and a bullet wound in his thigh. As a doctor she can't leave him like that, so she decides to stay and help him. This is a very good story, interesting characters. I don't usually read this type of book, but did thoroughly enjoy it. Recommended read.
Ruth Glick writing as Rebecca York. (From book cover) (Her) books..deliver what they promise: excitement, mystery, romance; page-turning suspense.
In the woods, a killer waits, surrounded by the graves of his victims, anticipating his next kill. In the woods, a wolf stalks its prey, surrendering only to the laws of nature, not of man....Private investigator Ross Marshall has special talent for tracking-a talent that has helped him locate missing persons when the police's trail has gone cold. Now his current case has led him to a body buried in an isolated rural area-and a serial killer who is looking for a new victim. But while gathering evidence for the police, something goes very wrong.. The last thing genetic researcher Megan Sheridan expected was to discover her client shot and unconscious. Ross Marshall had requested her lab to run tests on him, but instead of taking a blood sample,Megan found herself tending his wounds. Although frightened by the secrets she knows he is hiding, Megan is compelled to him by a force she can't explain-or resist. Ross tries to deny the ancient instincts clamoring for him to take Megan as his mate, for to do so would sentence her to a lifetime of sorrow. But now Ross has an even more urgent reason to stay away from Megaan; The killer that he'd been hunting has turned the tables--and is now hunting him..
