One of Spindler's best! The plot twists really keep you guessing... you won't believe how this one ends. The characters are awesome; Stacy Killian, the main character, was introduced in Spindler's earlier book "See Jane Die". The plot deals with role-playing games (RPG), but does it in a way that is easy to understand. This book also has less of a "romance" side to it than some of Spindler's earlier books; the good tension is there between the characters, but is more implied than written about.
One word of warning though: if you have not read "See Jane Die", then this book does contain spoilers!

An excellent mix of old and new characters from 'See Jane Die' and 'Bone Cold'. After Stacy leaves Dallas P.D. and moves to New Orleans and starts grad school, her friend and neighbor is killed. Stacy finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation with one of the Malone boys. This crime puts her right in the path of a new role-playing game, White Rabbit, that plays to the death. Very good book.

Erica Spindler is a great writer but this is by far one of her best books. It keeps you guessing all the way through. You will find it hard to put down once you start on it. An excellent book.
It has an interesting parallel to the video game in the book. It keeps you interested and hating to put the book down.
